How Domeball Works
After our summer and fall seasons wrap-up, West Metro moves indoors to the Holy Angels Academy Stardome, located at 66th & Nicollet in Minneapolis. We play there all winter, splitting the winter up into three sessions.
Session One: November & December
Session Two: January & February
Session Three: March & April
We host 4 games each day, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Each game is strictly timed to go no more than 65 minutes, so we can be out of the dome by 1:30 p.m. Players register for the times they want in their division, we hold a draft and assemble teams to fill the available time slots for each day. Managers are chosen to handle the team rosters and help keep us moving along on our scheduled times.
Here are a few important notes to help you in your first appearance at the dome.
We use the same Northwoods/National Division organization to keep our games competitive and safe. Because we're limited to only 4 games per day, we are allowing some limited mixing of the two skill & age-based divisions. Any requests to change divisions will require board approval. New players will be interviewed to establish your starting division...we may ask you to move after we see how you fit in the division assigned.
Registration is held for each session and you can let us know when you’d like to play each session.
The current cost works out to about $5 per game. Due to the COVID pandemic and the uncertainty it adds to our lives, we will provide pro-rated refunds if we are forced to cancel our season.
Here are some important notes and additions to the summer plan, needed because we will be playing indoors.

- This is a different game and someone will help you understand the special dome-related rules, like the ball being live off the ceiling.
- Dress in layers. The indoor temp is around 45 to 50 degrees all winter. Some days it feels much colder!
- Shoes: Most players use turf shoes or running shoes with a good tread. No metal cleats! Some do use low, plastic cleats. Smooth soles will slip & slide!
- There are two domes at Holy Angels. We play in the original StarDome. The entrance is through the StarDome Pavilion building directly east of the school.
- Please pay close attention to the parking instructions, posted HERE! Cars parked in any numbered spaces will be towed!

- Masks are optional in 2021/22. We'll continue to monitor CDC and Minnesota recommendations.
- We will have separate dugout/bench areas for both teams.
- Arriving players must stay away from the bench areas.
