FREE-TIME FUN

Another Band Joins the League Family with Joe Albachten and the Execs!

Joe joined the league last winter, but just recently let us know that he's a talented part of The Execs Big Band with vocalist, Debbie Bigelow!
Click Here for a flyer about their November 16th dance event in Bloomington!
You can also visit the band's website at: www.execsbigband.com, or their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/execsbigband/

Rock out with John "Ringo" Hill and his Tuxedo Band!

There's a lot of talent in our league, but no one slaps the skins like our own Johnny "Ringo" Hill. Last summer, he and his band were videotaped playing a rockin' gig at Surfside Park & Beach in Mound. You can watch that half hour gig here. Or you can find out where the band is playing next by visiting their website, www.thetuxedoband.com.  (Hint: Vic's Bar, a lot.)

Tom Foty. Excellent ball player, fine artist.

Tom has had a life-long passion for painting, which he's been lucky enough to turn into a successful career. His ability to work with a variety of media and effortlessly bring his fine art sensibilities to the editorial and corporate markets has kept him busy and in demand. Lucky for us, he also occasionally makes time for senior softball! If you like to see a sample of his work, visit his website: tomfotyfineart.com

Bill Preiss gets a charge out of his outlet: blogging.

Looking for a sure-fire cure for plumber's butt? Want the latest fashion update on pickle ball shoes? Like to hear another enthusiast talk about the joys of senior dome ball? Then check out Bill Preiss's blog, "Green Scallions." It comes with the tagline: "Think the news is bad? Scallions will make it worse!" What does that mean? Beats us! To see what Bill's blog is all about, you can check it out here.

Join the Crew to Keep the Streetcars Humming

Aaron Isaacs, Bill Preiss and Jim Tally are already part of the crew, rebuilding, maintaining and operating the Minnesota Streetcar Museum. They need more volunteers though ... it takes mechanics, woodworkers and all sorts of worker bees to keep the cars running. And if you qualify as a conductor, you get to ring the bell and wear a hat!

For more, check out the MSM newsletter, featuring a monthly column from the Chairman of the Board, Aaron Isaacs! You can also get any of Aaron's FOUR books on the org's website...
