How Domeball Works

After our fantastic summer and fall seasons wrap-up, West Metro moves indoors to the Holy Angels Academy Stardome, located at 66th & Nicollet in Minneapolis. We play there all winter, splitting the winter up into three sessions.
Players can choose their own schedule. Most play one or two games, on Tuesdays, Thursdays or both. Registration is held for each session and you can let us know when you’d like to play each session.
The current cost works out to about $5 per game. Due to the global pandemic and the uncertainty it adds to our lives, we will provide pro-rated refunds if we are forced to cancel our season.
We host 4 games each day, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Each game is strictly timed to go no more than 65 minutes, so we can be out of the dome by 1:30 p.m. Players register for the times they want, we hold a draft and assemble teams to fill the available time slots for each day. Managers are chosen to handle the team rosters and help keep us moving along on our scheduled times.
We will also adhere strictly to the West Metro COVID-19 Health Protocol we established for our summer season. Please review that protocol here. http://www.mnseniorsoftball.com/2020-covid-19-rules.html

Here are some important notes and additions to the summer plan, needed because we will be playing indoors.
  • Masks will be required at all times. We will be monitoring the field and dugout areas to ensure that this is closely followed.
  • We will continue to scan temperatures of each player as they enter the dome. If there’s nobody at the door, please find the temp taker asap once inside.
  • We will have separate dugout/bench areas for both teams.
  • Arriving players must stay away from the bench areas.
Unlike our summer season, we do not split the league up into skill or age-based groups. All players are assigned teams based on the times they would like to play.
