West Metro Senior Softball - 2013 Summer Season

The West Metro Senior Softball League is in its 24th year serving the metro area. Any person 50 or older from any community is invited to join. Games are played on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, starting in April. The fields are located at Van Valkenburg Park in Edina, east of Highway 169 at the Lincoln Drive exit. Click Here for a map to the park.

Each day starts at 8:30 a.m. with stretching, throwing and batting practice. Three concurrent games start at 9 a.m. . The league's emphasis is on exercise and camaraderie. We have two "Leagues" in our organization. The American League plays by recreational rules. The National League is our "competitive" league and plays under modified SSUSA Tournament Rules  Placement within the two leagues is managed by an executive committee.

Each league plays two games every Tuesday and Thursday. Following the games, an informal post-game picnic allows time for discussing all our worldly problems, from hunting and fishing, to taxes.

We've begun play for the summer, but you can still join in the fun!  Print This Form and mail it to the address shown, along with a check for $50.00, payable to the Edina Senior Center. You can drop by the park to meet us and get started...we'll put you on a team!
