Jack (MN) Johnson needs our prayers

Jack has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He is exploring treatment options and will keep us all up to date. (We'll keep track of his progress here) He intends to keep playing ball!!

Steve Secory has announced his "retirement" from senior softball.

Due to a newly diagnosed osteoarthritis condition, Steve has decided he needs to leave West Metro and the Minnesota Blizzard. While only here for a few months, a lot of us have gotten to be good friends with Steve. We wish him the best! And of course, he's earned a life-time invitation to all our fabulous bashes and events!

Thoughts and Prayers for Lynn Gladfelter

An update from Jeff:

Lynn has been doing fairly well.  She continues with her current chemo therapy and she had a scan two weeks ago and we met with the oncologist last Friday Feb 1st.  He informed us that the scans showed that the chemo is working at this time and the tumors have all shown a “mild to moderate” shrinkage.  He said that she will remain on this form of chemo as long as the tumors are staying the same or shrinking……..so we got some good news!  I am sure it is the result of all the thoughts and prayers that were sent her way.  We also went to Mayo and met with her oncologist there and he confirmed the plan.

Right now she has been eating better, three solid meals a day, and has very little if any nausea.  She has no pain and is felling stronger and even working out a bit.  All of these things are very positive.  Please keep the thoughts and prayers coming her way for the treatments to continue to work.

I plan on stopping by the dome on Thursday next week and take a few swings.  My back is continually improving.
